What has not changed over time
It has been 65 years since the founder, Hikoichi Suzuki, raised his carpenter's banner in Owari Ichinomiya in 1958. Together with his apprentices, Hikoichi has continued to build "real" Kinoie. The wooden construction that does not use "fake" materials such as new construction materials and laminated films as much as possible has gained the support of our customers, and we have built up a wealth of construction examples throughout our history.
Since the first generation, we have been committed to providing real Kinoie that makes the most of the materials as they are. Therefore, we use even peculiar wood without wasting it. We are proud of the fact that all of the Kinoie examples you see on our website are made of solid wood.
However, to create a beautiful and functional house while using solid wood requires "knowledge" and "skills" backed up by experience. This is not something that can be done with industrialized housing, which requires standardization. Our 65 years of work have given us employees the knowledge of real wood and the skills to make the best use of it. The resulting Kinoie will be an asset that will be loved by the whole family, and will not become stale over time.
